Print to a Novell shared printer?

Problem:

I'm using RPM Elite or Select to receive print jobs from my mainframe or host system and print them out to a printer shared by Novell. Each time RPM begins printing a job, the queue gets suspended automatically. When I try unsuspending the queue, it promptly goes back to suspended. Can I use RPM Elite or Select to print to a Novell shared printer?

Answer:

Yes, RPM should be able to print to a Novell shared printer without too much trouble. Start by installing the latest Novell client for Windows NT/2000/XP. Next, utilize the option in the client to "syncronize passwords". Next, modify the RPM service to change the account that the RPM service is running under. Our Windows NT setup instructions and Windows 2000/XP setup instructions provide detailed help for modifying the account that the service runs under.
