What does the XAIX option do?

Question:

In the AS/400 OUTQ configuration, your documentation suggests that I enter XAIX into the Destination Options parameter. What does this option do?

Answer:

XAIX controls how multiple copies are sent to the printer. This option, when present, specifies that the data and control files are to be sent multiple times, once for each copy.

If this option is omitted, the default is to send the data and control files once, specifying multiple print commands in the control file. RPM can handle both situations equally well.
