When printing large jobs, the job begins again

Problem:

When we are printing large documents, and the spooler is sending the data file; the printer prints the job, and then begins printing it again.

Upon examining the Status Information on the job properties, I noticed the following warnings:

	Warning: Socket timed out
	Diagnostic: File Closed
	Warning: Socket goal failed
	Warning: Failed
	Diagnostic: Scheduled

And then on with the job again:

Answer:

Generally, this can occur if you are using a print driver from the printer manufacture rather than a "box" driver that came from Windows 9x. Our recommendation to resolve this would be to first delete the printer you are sending to from the Settings/Printers window, and then to reinstall the same printer using the box driver (i.e. just the dialog that pops up when you click add printer). Please contact support should the problem still appear.
