What are advantages to upgrading?

Question:

I have RPM version 2.3 or 3.0. It seems to be working fine. Why would I want to upgrade to RPM Elite or RPM Select?

Answer:

You should always upgrade to the newest versions of RPM for a number of reasons. First, you cannot get support on previous versions. Technical support will probably require you to upgrade.

Second, all issues we've found in previous versions are fixed for each new release. There are a small number of issues resolved for the release of RPM Elite and RPM Select. Windows 2000 support is one of those issues resolved.

We have a features matrix which lists the features added or issues resolved for RPM Elite and RPM Select.
