How to unzip the diskette files

Problem:

I have downloaded the RPM Remote Print Manager™ diskette files. How do unzip them to a floppy disk?

Answer:

You must have a program that will unzip the diskette files. Many of the unzipping software applications can be downloaded from the Internet for a free trial period. Some of these applications are PKZip, WinZip, or Netzip.

After getting the unzip application of your choice, you will need to install it. After the install, execute the application and open the first disk file. Choose to unzip the file to A:\ and place a blank formatted diskette in your floppy disk drive. Next, unzip the second diskette file to a new floppy disk. Now you will be able to install RPM from the floppy disks you have created. Be sure to label the disks "Disk 1" and "Disk 2" so you will be able to distinguish which disk to start the installation program file from.

To install RPM from the floppy disks you have created, insert "Disk 1" into the floppy disk drive. Select Start\Run, type "A:\setup.exe", and press OK. When prompted insert "Disk 2" to finish the installation. Congratulations, you have now installed RPM from floppy disks that you created.
