Opening Log Options causes a server busy message

Problem:

When trying to access the Log Options dialog on a Windows Server 2003 operating system, a Server Busy message pops up stating: This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem.

The choices are Switch To, Retry, or Cancel.

Cause:

As always, this message appears when the RPM Service is busy and cannot respond to the user interface. In this particular case, the message is caused by a change made to the operating system. At this time, there is no way to work around the problem.

After approximately two minutes, the call fails and the user interface will again be responsive. You cannot change the RPM log options on Windows Server 2003.

Status:

This problem will be resolved in the next major release of RPM Elite and RPM Select. A release date has not been scheduled. This issue applies to RPM version 4.5 and previous versions.
