FAQ: On which versions of Windows does RPM run?
Question: On which versions of Windows does RPM run?
Answer: The latest versions of RPM Elite and RPM Select both run on and are supported on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 as well as Server 2003 through Server 2008 R2. These products will be updated to run on new versions of Windows as they are released.
We provide users of 64-bit Windows with the same high level of support afforded our 32-bit customers. Although there are no known issues running the software on any version of Windows at this time, official support will not be announced until we release a native 64-bit version of the software. That said, our main development and testing platforms are Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. This ensures RPM runs without issue on 64-bit versions of Windows as well as 32-bit versions.
RPM does not run on Windows 95, 98, Millennium Edition, or Windows NT as these platforms have not been support by Microsoft for a number of years.
