Redefining TCP/IP Windows Printing with INTELLIscribe 3.0 Print Client Software

Idaho Falls, ID. - June 3, 2003 - INTELLIscribe® 3.0, the latest release from Brooks Internet Software, Inc. (Brooks), is redefining Windows® TCP/IP printing. The newly enhanced INTELLIscribe allows for easy management of print jobs and destinations, avoiding frustrations typically found with Windows printing.

The INTELLIscribe software is a TCP/IP print client for Windows NT/2000/XP and 95/98/ME platforms that supports the LPR/LPD protocol and HP JetDirect® printers. INTELLIscribe 3.0 has been completely redesigned to include a new User Interface for more control over the print environment, a Round Robin feature that shares the print load equally between a group of printers, a Destination Balancing feature to manage printer usage, and more.

INTELLIscribe print jobs are archived for easy reprint and print results are always known because job and destination status is clearly visible. INTELLIscribe reduces the Windows printing bottleneck by providing multiple ports and also supports real-world printing scenarios by giving you control over printer usage and failure handling.

"Brooks has developed a software application which truly redefines Windows printing," said Dave Brooks, president of Brooks Internet Software. "The redesigned INTELLIscribe with all its new print management capabilities puts control over the print environment back into the hands of the users."

New INTELLIscribe 3.0 Feature and Enhancement details:

User Interface - New user interface to manage and view queues, jobs, and destinations. Users can view job and destination details, query a destination for status, and easily cancel, reprint and delete jobs. The user interface also includes a new log viewer to track INTELLIscribe activities.

Round Robin - The Round Robin feature shares the print load equally between a group of printers increasing the throughput rates.

Destination Balancing - The Destination Balancing feature keeps statistics on print jobs. INTELLIscribe uses these statistics to send the job to the least used destination.

Job Scheduler - The Job Scheduler manages destination retry and failure, reducing the need for user interaction to complete the print job.

The INTELLIscribe® product has been tested with many print systems, including AS/400; UNIX platforms such as Linux, Sun Solaris, and SCO UNIX; hardware print servers from Hewlett-Packard Co., Lexmark International, Inc., and many others; and PC print servers including RPM Remote Print Manager®. INTELLIscribe installs on Windows® 2000/XP/2003/Vista. Please feel free to download the free trial!
