Abrica securely and simply exchanges business documents between business partners of all sizes, regardless of which business systems they use to manage their daily operations.
RPM Receives the Files and Prints to Abrica
The RPM print server is used to intercept and redirect incoming print jobs (purchase orders, invoices, and so on) from the host system (Mainframe, AS/400, or others). After receiving the jobs, RPM prints to Abrica, which looks to RPM like a standard printer. Abrica then converts the document into PDF and XML and delivers the information to the partner's system. On the receiving end, this information can be imported into the ERP or other system. This setup is designed to save companies money while simplifying intercompany document workflows.
Within the setup just described, RPM performs a key function: It modifies document formatting, such as font changes, margins, and header print codes, without changing existing print processes on the host system.
